It Takes A Lot of Energy...

to keep an organization healthy and growing. Tennessee has been fortunate to have people over the years who have been willing to give to our activity to help it grow and prosper.

The Tennessee State Association of Square and Round Dance Clubs, Inc. has two formal awards to recognize people like this. The Mike Stokes award recognizes contributions to the Association itself while the Hall of Fame recognizes contributions to square and round dancing in Tennessee.

Mike Stokes Memorial Award

Named for the first president of the association, Kenneth "Mike" Stokes, Sr., this award is presented for outstanding work done for the Tennessee State Association of Square and Round Dance Clubs, Inc. for one project or for work over a longer period of time. It may be awarded to more than one person or couple at a time. This award is not necessarily awarded each year, but only when merited. The award is presented at the state convention.
